Here at Old West Leathers saddles there stands 40 years of service to many customers with over 500 saddles built by hand. Saddles are my passion to repair,restore,or even custom make one that is a true one of a kind investment for any rider. I have been dubbed "The Saddle Surgeon" by many because I can take a broken down or worn out saddle that others would considered beyond repair and bring it back to new life in a short amount of time. Its the deep passion and dedication that drives me to rejuvenate a saddle that has no hope to one that is safe,sound and given a second chance at giving the rider a few more years of pleasure riding.

If the tree is beyond repair... I always suggest a new tree and transferring the leather from the present tree to a newer one.
When completely restoring a saddle giving it new life is a greater passion making sure every inch of leather is treated . By the time the restoration process is complete the customer is thrilled to see the end results.
Building a custom saddle is not only a builders challenge but a rewarding one after it is completed and has met all the customers expectations and then some. From picking the perfect tree style to the tooling design and choosing the type of saddle leather from imported high quality hides that last for years to come, down to the finest detail of conchos, seat cover , and wool for the skirts. That is why i enjoy building custom saddles from start to finish for any style of riding. From pleasure saddles,barrel racing, cutting and reining to trail riding the possibilities are unlimited !
